Created by The National Adoption Center, this course provides an interactive overview of the process of adopting one's foster child.

This course will help you:

  • Understand the entire process of adopting your foster child.
  • Prepare yourself and family for the transition to adoptive family.
  • Guide your decision-making with interactive exercises designed to assist you in your mental and emotional preparation for adoption.
  • Prepare you with checklists and exercises to make the most of your time with your adoption professionals.
  • Become aware of the truth surrounding most common myths and misconceptions regarding adopting children from the foster care system.
  • Identify the post-adoption resources available for your family.

Enrollment in From Foster Family to Forever Family includes Our Promise and Moving Forward, two additional modules introducing you to the National Adoption Center and services available pre- and post-placement.
